ABOUT
Putnoky Ernest Felix is a Romanian score composer and sound designer. His works aim to combine unique sonic elements and explore every possibility to tell a story through music and sound.
Since he first started creating music at the age of 10, to his first project scoring for a theatre play and onwards, experimentation and the combining of orchestral, electronic, artificial and organic sounds have shaped his thorough understanding of sound and it’s power to convey complex, deep and even overwhelming emotions.
Also known for his solo project, “Chernobxg”, he has delved into a wide variety of music genres such as Electronic, Metal, Blues, Latin Jazz, Classical and Folk.
His solo project is most notable, as it also cemented his name as a pioneer of a new, unique and bold approach to Romanian folk music, aptly named “Underground Folklore”, combining traditional Romanian instruments such as the caval, cimbalom and whistle with electronic elements, ranging from hard hitting drums to harsh synthesized basslines and dreamy ambiences.
